Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Genealogies

What genealogy programs are there available?

Anthropologists and other staff of organizations and institutions involved in research and services for Indigenous peoples of Australia and the Torres Strait are frequently required to collect and compile genealogical information. However, the programs available on the market do not entirely satisfy the needs. Moreover, there are a multitude of products available, each responding to some, but none to all features we would like to see in a Perfect Program. Below is a list of programs used, including comments, descriptions and propositions with regard to their usefulness and their (hopeful) improvements.
